Zenato is renowned as the finest producer in the Veneto region, with high-quality whites and Amarones. Ripassa wines are produced by re-fermenting Valpolicella on the residue from Amarone production. Intense notes of cherries, plums, and tangerines give way to a fuller body and a complex flavor profile that culminates in a smooth finish. An excellent match for pork and veal dishes as well as hard cheeses, this Ripassa is closely linked to the Valpolicella Amarone production. After Amarone grapes are pressed, the Valpolicella wine is passed over the still warm marc.
