Chapelas, "Chusclan" Cotes du Rhone Villages AOP - an exquisite red dry wine made from Grenache, Syrah and Carignano grapes grown in the vineyards of the economy in the commune of Chusclan in the southern part of the Rhone Valley. Shusklan is located on the banks of the Seze River northwest of the city of Orange. The best sites are on the north side of a 115-meter limestone embankment, located to the west of the village and only 1.5 kilometers from the banks of the Rhone. The slight elevation and long exposure to the sun give the grapes grown here excellent ripeness and subtle, fresh mineral touches. Harvested at the moment of optimal maturity, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Grapes from different areas are vinified separately. In the process of maceration and fermentation, repairs and delestage with mechanical pijage are regularly carried out.
